DO YOU KNOW PONDICHERY?

Pondicherry, or more commonly known as Puducherry, is a city located in the South-East of India in the Tamil Nadu region.

The region itself covers an area of 131,000 km², including the capital Chennai, the country's 4th largest metropolis and formerly called Madras, alone has more than 4 million inhabitants. As its name suggests, the majority spoken language is Tamil, literally the “Tamil region” (Tamil = Tamil and Nadu = region).

It is the only state in the country which, among all the others, has a predominantly Hindu population, unlike the northern part of the country. Its population remains predominantly rural and industry is still underdeveloped.

Pondicherry is located in a region with a tropical climate and where temperatures remain warm throughout the year, whatever the season. The best season to travel to Tamil Nadu is from January to September, but the highest temperatures, up to around 40 ° C or more, are reached in the period from April to June.
